Diversity and equal opportunities
We are convinced that a company capable of promoting diversity among its workforce and using everyone's potential to best advantage finds in them an indisputable source of added value.
ENDEL ENGIE's commitment to diversity is reflected in an employment policy that places skills and equal opportunities at the heart of its human resources policy, both for access to employment and for promotion throughout the career.
4% of employees with disabilities by 2015. Signed on 19 March 2012, the agreement on jobs for persons with disabilities follows on from the HAND’EL Mission since 2007. It aims to have 4% of the workforce made up of persons with disabilities by 2015 and it is structured around three targets: recruitment of 39 employees, taking on 10 trainees with disabilities and retaining 30 employees recently diagnosed as unfit for work by adapting their work stations or retraining them.
The key to achieving that goal is to continue raising awareness among employees and their management about the fight against prejudice and the recognition of disability.
Equal employment opportunities among women and men
With roughly 8% of its workforce made up of women, ENDEL set itself an ambitious target in June 2012 by signing an agreement on equal employment opportunities in all the company's occupational categories (30% for middle management, 20% for employees, technicians and supervisors and 5% for manual workers), and more particularly in the front-line jobs.
Bridging the generation gap
ENDEL is actively committed to employing young people and seniors. The transfer of knowledge and experience between generations is the key to ensuring long-term control of our “art” and expertise in the company.
Obtaining the Diversity Label
In 2013 ENDEL embarked on a quality certification process for the AFNOR Diversity Label; in 2012 the ENGIE Group was awarded this quality label for the first time for a workforce of 42,000.
As ENDEL is mindful of its social responsibility, the awarding of this label will recognise and enrich its initiatives with regard to the prevention of discrimination, equal opportunities, the promotion of diversity in the company and its commitment to a continuous improvement plan.
